About the 182P
The Textron Aviation 182P is an American single-engined, high-wing light aeroplane featuring a tricycle undercarriage and an all-metal airframe. It accommodates four occupants, with optional provisions for extra children's seating in the baggage area, making it suitable for private operators and touring.
First introduced decades ago as a tricycle gear development of an earlier design, the aircraft evolved through numerous iterations featuring wider cabins, modified tails, and increased weight limits. Alongside domestic production, overseas facilities built authorized versions under license. The type experienced temporary production pauses before resuming manufacture, with ongoing experimental powerplants explored for future iterations.
