The Cessna 182M is a fixed-wing, single-engine light airplane built in the United States. Designed for private aviation, it accommodates four occupants with an option for extra child seating in the rear baggage area, and employs an air-cooled flat-six engine.

Originating as a tricycle gear derivative of an earlier design, the type expanded into a popular family of aircraft featuring numerous refinements over decades of production. Improvements introduced across the series included a wider cabin structure, a swept tailfin with an omni-vision window, higher weight limits, and modified landing gear arrangements. International manufacturing took place in facilities located in Argentina and France. The all-metal airframe relies primarily on aluminum alloy, complemented by fiberglass and thermoplastic components in specific fairings and wingtips.
