About the 182J

The Cessna 182J is an American type-certificated, fixed-wing light airplane configured with four seats and a single engine. Suited for private touring and general utility, the aircraft features an all-metal layout with a tricycle landing gear configuration and an optional baggage area seating arrangement.

Introduced as a development of an earlier tricycle gear model, this series has grown to become one of the most popular production aircraft for its manufacturer. Throughout its manufacturing run, the design has incorporated numerous updates, including a wider fuselage, a swept tailfin with a rear window, and alternative engine choices. In addition to domestic manufacturing, variants have been produced internationally under license in countries such as Argentina and France.
