About the HK 36R Super Dimona
The Diamond HK 36R Super Dimona is an Austrian low-wing, T-tailed motor glider designed to seat two occupants side-by-side under a bubble canopy. Suited for touring and training, this fibreglass aircraft incorporates a specialized airfoil and top-surface airbrakes, with wings that can be folded down for convenient storage.
Wolf Hoffmann originated the series in the 1980s, which later transitioned through several manufacturing entities before reaching commercial success with hundreds of completed units. Over its lifespan, the family has served in various specialized roles, including altitude record attempts and hydrogen fuel cell flight research, while also forming the structural basis for subsequent light aircraft models.
