About the HK 36 TC

The Diamond Aircraft Ind HK 36 TC is an Austrian motorized glider designed with a low wing layout, a T-tail, and space for two occupants. It suits touring and glider operations, featuring a single engine and a fiberglass construction utilizing a specific Wortmann airfoil with top-surface airbrakes.

Originating from the Hoffmann H36 Dimona developed in the early 1980s, the series evolved through multiple manufacturing entities and introduced variants with greater spans and winglets. The type achieved notable aviation records, served as a testbed for fuel cell research, and led to the creation of further aircraft families. Over nine hundred units of the H36 and HK36 series have been completed, earning widespread commercial success and regulatory certification across Europe and North America.
