About the HK 36 Ttc-Eco

The Diamond Aircraft Industries HK 36 TTC-ECO is an Austrian type-certificated motor glider designed for a single pilot in a side-by-side cockpit configuration under a hinged bubble canopy. It suits recreational touring and gliding operations within a low-wing, T-tailed airframe.

Originating from the Hoffmann H36 Dimona created by Wolf Hoffmann, the series transitioned through several manufacturing entities before reaching Diamond Aircraft Industries. Constructed entirely from fibreglass, the family utilizes a specialized airfoil and features top-surface airbrakes, with folding wings available as an option. The design achieved commercial success with hundreds of completions, established an absolute altitude class record during the early nineties, and later served as a testbed for hydrogen fuel cell research.
