About the H-36 Dimona

The Wolf Hoffmann Flugzeugbau H-36 Dimona is an Austrian T-tailed, single-engine motor glider featuring a side-by-side two-seat cockpit under a bubble canopy. Constructed entirely from fibreglass, the aircraft employs a low-wing layout with top-surface airbrakes and optional folding wings for convenient storage, suiting touring and gliding enthusiasts.

Originating in the early 1980s from an Austrian designer, the type gained European and North American airworthiness certifications and later formed the design foundation for several subsequent series models. A notable derivative achieved an absolute altitude class record for piston-powered aircraft. Production proved commercially successful, with more than 900 units completed across the family line.
