About the HR-100 Tiara
The Robin HR-100 Tiara is a French fixed-wing, single-engine light monoplane designed for four occupants. It serves as a civil transport and utility aircraft featuring a low-wing cantilever layout, conventional tail unit, and fixed or retractable landing gear depending on the variant.
Designed by Chris Heintz as a metal-winged evolution of an earlier wooden-winged type, the prototype first took to the air in April 1969. Several different versions were developed throughout the 1970s, including high-powered models utilized by the French Air Force for communications duties, alongside related trainer and lighter airframe variants.
The HR-100 Tiara is a variant of the Robin HR-100 Royal. Other variants: HR 100-210, HR-100 President, HR-100 Safari.
