About the HR-100 Safari
The Robin HR-100 Safari is a French fixed-wing light monoplane utilizing a low-wing cantilever layout and a single flat-six engine. It provides accommodation for four occupants within a metal-winged structure.
Originating from a rebuilt predecessor prototype featuring metal wings and a different powerplant, the design performed its initial flight near the end of the sixties. Production expanded into various iterations during the subsequent decade, incorporating retractable landing gear and higher-powered engines for enhanced performance. Operators included military forces utilizing the type for communication tasks, alongside spin-off trainer and revised airframe variants.
The HR-100 Safari is a variant of the Robin HR-100 Royal. Other variants: HR 100-210, HR-100 President, HR-100 Tiara.
