About the SR-20 Srv
The Cirrus SR-20 SRV is a single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft designed for private aviation and flight training. It features a composite monoplane layout with a cabin accommodating multiple occupants, utilizing side-stick flight controls and a whole-airframe ballistic parachute system.
Unveiled as a mock-up in the mid-nineteen-nineties, the prototype completed its first flight in March 1995. The design earned Federal Aviation Administration certification in October 1998 before entering service the following year. Over subsequent generations, the platform evolved with updated glass avionics and engine options, and it was later selected by military academies for cadet flight instruction.
