About the HR-100 Royal

The Robin HR-100 Royal is a French single-engine, low-wing cantilever monoplane built to seat four occupants. It functions as a light monoplane featuring a fixed tricycle landing gear and a conventional cantilever tail unit, making it well-suited for private utility and travel.

Originating as a metal-winged derivative of an earlier design, the prototype underwent initial testing following its completion by Avions Pierre Robin. Subsequent manufacturing during the 1970s yielded multiple variants, including an upgraded version featuring a more powerful engine alongside retractable landing gear. Military operators utilized certain iterations for communication tasks, while related developments branched into dedicated trainer aircraft and alternative airframe configurations.
