About the BU-131
The Casa Bu-131 is a fixed-wing homebuilt aircraft configured as a light, two-seat biplane. It is primarily suited for school instruction, general training purposes, and recreational aerobatic flights, utilizing a single-engine tractor layout.
Originating from a German design by Anders Andersson, the type was widely adopted as a primary military trainer before World War II and saw extensive license-building internationally. Spanish production later took place under Construcciones Aeronauticas S.A., where hundreds were manufactured using various inline powerplants before eventual retirement and release into the civilian market.
