About the 100

The Aero Commander 100 is an American fixed-wing light aircraft featuring a high-wing monoplane layout, a single engine, a fixed tricycle undercarriage, and four seats. It is suited for private owners and general aviation touring.

Originally conceived by Volaircraft before its first flight, the design changed hands multiple times, eventually being produced by Rockwell under its Aero Commander division under names such as the Darter Commander and Lark Commander. Exported to various international markets, the type ultimately ceased production when the manufacturer exited the highly competitive light aircraft sector and sold the rights to another firm.

{# the label links to these aircraft for sale, built in that span. On the label and not the count: the bands count every aircraft on the market (on_market) while the grid shows only those with a photo (live), so the count is not a promise of how many cards appear. A band cached before year_min existed renders as plain text rather than a link to an unfiltered list. #}
