About the PA-28-235

The Piper PA-28-235 is a single-piston, low-wing civil utility aircraft featuring a tricycle undercarriage and an all-metal structure. Developed by Piper Aircraft as a more economical alternative to earlier models, it serves as a personal aircraft, air taxi, and flight training platform well suited for student pilots and instructors alike.

Following its Federal Aviation Administration type certification, production of the family began and continued across numerous variants featuring different wing designs, landing gear configurations, and engine power outputs, including versions equipped with constant-speed propellers or diesel powerplants. The aircraft line evolved from early two-seat trainers and four-seat cruisers into modern standard training platforms equipped with updated avionics and interior improvements, becoming one of the most widely used and recognizable light aircraft lineages in aviation history.
