About the T188C

The Cessna T188C is an American single-engine, single-seat agricultural aircraft. Suited for aerial application work and later utilized as a glider tug, it features a low-wing layout with a chemical hopper integrated into a semi-monocoque aluminum airframe.

Developed after the manufacturer surveyed agricultural pilots and operators, the initial version of the series first flew in February 1965. The 1976 AGtruck variant shares basic structural roots with earlier company utility models, featuring an air-cooled flat-six engine. The airframe design proved enduring, remaining largely unchanged over a seventeen-year production run that yielded thousands of aircraft across multiple variants.
