About the Eagle I

The Christen Industries Eagle I is a single-seat, single-engine fixed-wing homebuilt aircraft of conventional biplane configuration. It suits pilots seeking an aerobatic machine featuring staggered wings, a large bubble canopy, and a tandem seating arrangement.

Designed by Frank Christensen to compete with the Pitts Special, the aircraft revolutionized homebuilding with its documented kits. Later, a famous aerobatic team chose the aircraft for their airshow acts, and multiple examples are preserved in museum exhibits.
