About the Rebel

The Murphy Rebel is a fixed-wing, amateur-built monoplane featuring a strut-braced high-wing and conventional taildragger landing gear. Sold in kit form by its Canadian manufacturer, it is designed as a personal-use bush plane capable of operating from short, unimproved strips, offering an enclosed cabin accessed via doors with seating for two or three individuals and powered by a single engine.

Constructed from sheet aluminum, the aircraft employs a modified airfoil on its span wing and is equipped with flaps. It was designed to function as a short takeoff and landing machine, with recommended power plants including specific Lycoming and Rotax series engines.
