About the Legend

The Turbine Cubs Of Wy Legend is an amateur-built, fixed-wing sports aircraft designed with a single engine and a streamlined low-wing monoplane layout. It accommodates two occupants in tandem seats equipped with dual controls inside an enclosed cockpit featuring an upward-opening canopy. Built primarily from carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, the aircraft features swept-back tail surfaces, a mid-mounted tailplane, tapered wings, and a retractable tricycle undercarriage, making it suitable for enthusiast pilots seeking high performance.

Originally developed by Performance Aircraft, the prototype completed its first flight with a piston engine before later being converted to incorporate a turboprop powerplant. Following changes in corporate ownership, the design was acquired by Legend Aircraft for continued marketing and kit production, and subsequent derivative iterations have included specialized variants intended for light attack roles and competitive racing configurations.
