About the Lancair Legacy

The As+ LANCAIR LEGACY is a composite, low-wing monoplane featuring an enclosed bubble canopy and a single engine in a tractor configuration. Built in the United States to accommodate two occupants side-by-side, it is offered with either fixed or retractable tricycle landing gear to suit private owners and pilots.

Developed as an updated evolution of an earlier design, the airframe is constructed from vacuum-formed composite sandwiches and employs specialized airfoil shapes along its cantilever wings. The type has achieved significant recognition by securing multiple top homebuilt awards at the EAA AirVenture airshow. Production of the kits later transferred to new ownership in Texas.
