The Tecnam P2006T is an Italian shoulder-winged, all-metal light aircraft featuring a twin-engine layout and fully retractable landing gear. Designed to accommodate four individuals, it is powered by two horizontally opposed geared piston engines capable of operating on automotive gasoline as well as aviation fuel.
Conceived by the manufacturer's co-founder and chief designer as a cost-effective multi-engine trainer, the prototype completed its maiden flight from an Italian airport. The aircraft later gained international airworthiness certifications and was selected for specialized mission roles, research into electric propulsion technologies, and military pilot training programs.
