About the Lake la-4-200

The Consolidated Aeronautics Lake LA-4-200 is an American single-engine, shoulder-wing amphibious monoplane featuring a pusher engine configuration and retractable tricycle landing gear. Suited for water and land utility, it accommodates up to four occupants within its all-metal hull.

Derived from earlier three-seat and four-seat designs developed in Maine during the nineteen fifties, the aircraft transitioned through various designations and company names. Later modifications introduced a fuel-injected engine, improved cruise capabilities, and increased gross weight limits, while subsequent developments included larger variants and a military configuration.
