About the Hiperlight
The Sorrell HIPERLIGHT is a single-seat, fixed-wing ultralight aircraft featuring a negative stagger biplane layout. It is designed for amateur construction and suits pilots looking for an enclosed cockpit aircraft with light control forces and balanced handling.
Engineered by the Sorrell brothers in response to a request from a distributor, the single-seat model was scaled down from an aerobatic cabin biplane to fit weight limits and utilized a specific engine layout. The airframe combines a welded steel tube forward section with a detachable aluminum tube rear, and features full-span ailerons that act like flaps. Sunrise Aircraft later developed a larger two-seat version of the design.
