About the R-3000

The Robin R-3000 is a French fixed-wing light aircraft designed for general aviation. Built as a low-wing monoplane featuring a fixed nosewheel undercarriage, it is well suited for pilots seeking a reliable aircraft with a forward sliding canopy and a distinctive T-tail. The layout accommodates a cabin configured with seats for multiple occupants, powered by a single air-cooled flat-four piston engine.

Work on this all-metal family began with the intention of offering various powerplants and seating arrangements. Following initial test flights of prototypes, a marketing arrangement was established with a subsidiary of Aérospatiale, which led to restrictions on engine output to prevent internal competition. Type certification was achieved, and manufacturing continued through changes in company ownership, resulting in dozens of deliveries before the close of the twentieth century.
