About the CP-605 Super Diamant

The Piel CP-605 Super Diamant is a French single-engine, low-wing cantilever monoplane created for homebuilding enthusiasts. Serving as a light aircraft, it provides a conventional enclosed cabin layout suited for private pilots and small families looking for a versatile tourer.

Conceived as a larger iteration of the earlier Emeraude, this aircraft incorporates a modified fuselage offering extra rear cabin space and a greater wingspan to support an increased maximum take-off weight. Although the original design secured official type certification for commercial manufacturing, it was exclusively realized through amateur home construction. Decades after the introduction of the initial variants, the line evolved into the Super Diamant series, which welcomed revised tail configurations and compatibility with higher-output engines.
