About the B-Monitor

The Neiva B-MONITOR is a Brazilian tandem two-seat glider designed and manufactured for primary flight training and general soaring club operations. Constructed to accommodate two occupants, it served as a foundational trainer for numerous student aviators.

Developed in the post-war era to support a nationwide aviation campaign, the design aimed to replace aging pre-war sailplanes with a modern glider retaining the best traits of earlier training types. Following its maiden flight and subsequent type certification, the initial prototype and numerous production units were acquired for aero clubs across the country. A modified version featuring different materials and nose geometry was introduced later, and the type successfully established multiple national soaring records.
