About the F150M

The Textron Aviation F150M is a fixed-wing general aviation airplane originating from the United States. Designed as a type-certificated aircraft with a tricycle landing gear layout, it suits flight training, touring, and personal use. The aircraft accommodates one crew member and features a single air-cooled horizontally-opposed engine paired with a metal fixed-pitch propeller.

Development began in the mid-1950s as a successor to the Cessna 140, introducing tricycle landing gear for docile ground handling, squared-off wing and empennage tips, and larger Fowler flaps. The prototype first flew before the model designation was established, with manufacturing taking place at the Wichita plant alongside production under license in France. Over its production run, the aircraft saw several updates including larger doors and increased baggage space, and it was eventually succeeded by closely related models before manufacturing was suspended.
