About the BO-208 Junior

The Bolkow BO-208 Junior is a fixed-wing single-engine light aircraft originating from Sweden and subsequently manufactured under licence in West Germany. Suited for private operators and flight training, the type utilizes a shoulder-wing configuration with forward-swept lifting surfaces designed to enhance outward visibility, paired with a tricycle undercarriage and a cabin seating two occupants.

Initially conceived and flown as a prototype by its designer during spare time in the United States, the project moved to Malmö Flygindustri where it received a larger cockpit and a flat-four piston engine. Production of the German-built variant took place in Laupheim, resulting in hundreds of airframes distributed globally across private hands in Europe, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and select international regions.
