About the BO-207

The Bölkow BO-207 is a single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft built in West Germany. Configured as a low-wing cabin monoplane with a conventional landing gear layout and a tail wheel, it provides seating for four occupants and is powered by a flat-four piston engine.

Developed as a post-war progression of earlier wartime aircraft, the design featured a redesigned canopy, modified cockpit, and enlarged tail structure. Prototypes were constructed at Nabern before full production was established at a new factory in Laupheim during the early nineteen-sixties. Manufacturing continued for a few years, resulting in a limited production run and minor experimental variants featuring alternative landing gear arrangements.
