About the Beaver

The Beaver SS is a fixed-wing ultralight aircraft featuring a single engine and a high-wing layout. Produced by Asap in Canada, this family of aircraft includes single- and two-place variants. It is well-suited for pilots looking for a light recreational aircraft, utilizing a simple pusher configuration layout.

The design originated from Larry Croome and was first introduced by Spectrum Aircraft. Over time, the design evolved through various models such as the RX-28, RX-35, and the RX 550, which became a popular trainer. Later versions introduced changes like a welded steel tube cockpit cage. Ownership of the design changed multiple times through various companies, with production eventually handled by Aircraft Sales and Parts, which incorporated a new wing and standard fabric covering into the updated version.
