About the Sgs 2-32

The Schweizer SGS 2-32 is an American type-certificated glider built for high-performance soaring, tourism, and training. It suits commercial operators and soaring pilots alike, featuring a mid-wing layout with an all-metal semi-monocoque fuselage, top-and-bottom divebrakes, an all-flying stabilator tail, and a cabin that accommodates up to three occupants.

Conceived as a mass-produced step-up trainer with enhanced capabilities, the design entered service following certification. Commercial operators favored its multi-passenger capacity for tourist rides, while competitive pilots used it to capture numerous distance, speed, and altitude records. A military variant served at an academy, and support for the fleet continued through dedicated service providers.
