The Guimbal G-2 Cabri is a rotorcraft manufactured in France by Hélicoptères Guimbal. Built as a light helicopter featuring a single reciprocating engine, it accommodates two occupants and suits the general aviation sector, flight training, and unmanned aerial vehicle applications. Its configuration incorporates a composite fuselage alongside specialized rotor and tail designs.
Crafted by a former engineer from Eurocopter, the project began decades prior to its commercial introduction. Initial testing of a prototype took place in the early 1990s, and the design later achieved a world distance record in its weight class. Following the establishment of a dedicated manufacturing base, regulatory approval was secured from European authorities, subsequently followed by certification in numerous other countries.
