About the F12A Cruiser

The Falconar Avia F12A Cruiser is a Canadian amateur-built fixed-wing aircraft designed for private builders and aviators. It features a cantilever low-wing layout with a wide enclosed cabin seating two occupants side-by-side, with an optional third seat. The aircraft is constructed from wood with doped aircraft fabric covering its flying surfaces, and utilizes either a fixed conventional or optional tricycle landing gear configuration driven by a single four-cylinder engine in tractor configuration.

Developed as an evolution of an earlier design, it incorporates aerodynamic improvements, a larger cockpit, simplified fittings, and shoulder harnesses to enhance stall characteristics. Modifications from its predecessor include a revised wing structure with an inboard dihedral point enabling the outer sections to fold for transport or storage. Amateur builders assemble the aircraft from kits or plans, and completed examples have been registered with civil aviation authorities in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
