About the KR-31
The Fairchild KR-31 is an American fixed-wing utility aircraft belonging to the type-certificated category. Featuring a single engine and a three-seat capacity in a biplane layout, it is well suited for training and general utility missions.
Originally conceived by the Kreider-Reisner Aircraft Company before the enterprise was absorbed by Fairchild Aircraft, the aircraft evolved through a series of mixed-construction biplanes with open tandem cockpits. Various models served roles ranging from civilian touring to light military attack duties, with examples exported for armed use overseas.
