About the CC18-180

The Cub Crafters CC18-180 is an American fixed-wing, type-certificated utility aircraft configured as a strut-braced high-wing monoplane. Designed for adventure-seeking pilots, it features tandem seating, conventional landing gear, and a welded steel tube fuselage covered in aircraft fabric, with the versatility to operate on wheels, tundra tires, skis, or floats.

Rooted in vintage Piper aircraft lineage, the design was introduced to comply with standard transport category rules and achieved type approval in North America before international certification. The manufacturing rights and type certificate were later acquired by a Chinese corporation, while production continued for non-domestic markets through licensing agreements and holding companies.
