About the AS 365 N2 Dauphin

The Eurocopter AS 365 N2 Dauphin is a multipurpose twin-engine rotorcraft of French origin, featuring a single main lifting rotor and seating accommodation suitable for up to six occupants alongside one or two pilots. It serves in various roles including corporate transport, law enforcement, medical evacuation, and search-and-rescue operations.

Originating as a twin-turbine development of an earlier single-engine design, the type first flew in prototype form and quickly established several aviation performance records. Subsequent modifications introduced more powerful turboshaft engines, advanced composite materials, retractable landing gear, and a redesigned Fenestron anti-torque tail device. The model achieved widespread international adoption and served as the basis for several specialized military and coast guard derivatives.
