About the AS365

The Aerospatiale AS365 is a French multipurpose twin-engine rotorcraft designed to suit a wide variety of civil and military operations, including corporate transport, law enforcement, emergency medical services, and search and rescue missions. It features a main rotor system and accommodates multiple occupants depending on the mission setup.

Originally developed by Aérospatiale before ownership transitions through European aerospace entities, the type performed its maiden flight in the mid-1970s and enjoyed decades of continuous manufacturing. Over its long production run, engineers introduced several major design enhancements, composite materials, and specialized derivative versions utilized globally by military forces and coast guards.
