About the EC 155 B1

The Eurocopter EC 155 B1 is a twin-engined rotorcraft built for long-range passenger transport and multi-role operations, including offshore support, VIP corporate travel, and casualty transport. It features a main rotor system and an enclosed cabin that accommodates up to thirteen passengers alongside one or two pilots.

Developed from the Dauphin family to expand cabin space, the type first flew in the late nineteen-nineties and later transitioned to production following safety certifications. An upgraded variant introduced improved high-altitude and hot-weather performance alongside a higher weight limit. Over its lifetime, the aircraft has served with government and police operators, and manufacturing plans later involved transitioning production to South Korea to support further civil and military derivative developments.
