About the Hawk Arrow II
The Cgs Aviation HAWK ARROW II is an American family of ultralight aircraft featuring a high wing, strut bracing, and a pusher engine layout. Accommodating one or two occupants in a tandem seating arrangement, these machines suit recreational pilots looking for enclosed cockpit designs with three-axis controls.
The designer gathered input from attendees at aviation gatherings to determine desired features, resulting in a configuration that included a curved tail boom to keep the empennage clear of wing downwash. When the prototype first flew, it broke new ground for ultralights by combining an enclosed cabin with strut bracing. The design went on to win multiple new design awards and competitive recreational vehicle events during the early nineteen-eighties.
