About the 414 (turbine)

The Cessna 414 (turbine) is an American light, twin-engine transport aircraft featuring a pressurized cabin. Built by Cessna, this fixed-wing machine is designed as a low-wing cantilever monoplane utilizing a conventional tail unit along with a retractable tricycle landing gear layout. It suits operators seeking a pressurized twin-engine option and accommodates a crew of one or two pilots.

Created to attract flyers of unpressurized twin-engine models, the aircraft utilized the fuselage of another company design while incorporating a different wing layout. The prototype took to the air for the first time near the end of the nineteen-sixties. Subsequent refinements brought forth a variant featuring a redesigned wing span containing built-in fuel cells and a lengthened nose section to expand storage capacity.

The 414 (turbine) is a variant of the Cessna 414.
