About the Baron
The Beechcraft Baron is a twin-engine fixed-wing light piston aircraft manufactured in the United States by Beechcraft. Built as a low-wing monoplane, it accommodates pilots and passengers in a layout suited for private and general aviation utility. The aircraft is powered by two air-cooled horizontally opposed engines.
Developed as a true twin-engine variant of the Beechcraft Bonanza, the Baron draws its lineage from predecessors including the Travel Air and the Debonair, incorporating a fully-swept vertical stabilizer and streamlined engine nacelles. Following its introduction, the type enjoyed decades of continuous manufacturing success until the owner announced upcoming production conclusion once active orders are fulfilled, with plans to maintain parts and support indefinitely.
