About the B-206

The Beagle B-206 is a British liaison and communication aircraft featuring twin piston engines and a low-wing monoplane layout. Developed in the United Kingdom by Beagle Aircraft Limited, it was built to accommodate seven occupants and serves business transport and air taxi roles.

The prototype first took flight in August 1961, evolving from earlier Bristol designs. Subsequent variants introduced larger wing spans, turbocharged engines, and freight doors. The Royal Air Force adopted a version for transport duties, and despite strong initial interest, production concluded after a limited number of airframes were completed.

This page covers the Beagle Aircraft B-206 Basset: the same aircraft under other designations.
