About the TB-30 Epsilon

The Aerospatiale TB-30 Epsilon is a fixed-wing military trainer aircraft built in France, designed with a single piston engine and tandem seating for two occupants. It is tailored for student pilots undergoing basic flight training syllabus stages.

Following a military requirement for a new trainer, the first prototype took to the air in 1979. Initial testing revealed stability issues, prompting modifications to the tail and wings. The type was ordered in quantity by the French military, and export units were supplied to countries such as Togo and Portugal, with some assembly handled locally abroad. A turboprop-powered variant was also developed later.
