The year model 1969 Piper Cherokee 140B was the first year with the following improvements:

- Standard T instrument panel arrangement

- Center panel throttle Quadrant with throttle control, mixture control and carb heat control

- Rear baggage area and hat shelf behind back seats

- Engine and fuel gages all located in one panel location pilot side

- Pilot side toe brakes

The aircraft recently had new magnetos and carburetor installed
