About the Ymf-5

The Waco YMF-5 is an American single-engine, fixed-wing biplane designed for general aviation and military training tasks. It is built around a traditional airframe layout accommodating three individuals in tandem open cockpits, powered by a radial engine. This configuration suits private owner pilots engaging in sporting flights and related aviation activities.

Tracing its lineage to a family of biplanes that followed earlier company designs, the airframe evolved to offer smaller dimensions while preserving passenger capacity and utilizing economical engines. A subsequent iteration featured a lengthened and widened fuselage, a larger rudder, and structural modifications before being put back into production by a revival company. Numerous examples have since been completed to specific orders, and considerable numbers of both original and newly manufactured biplanes remain active in service.

On the label and not the count: the bands count every aircraft on the market (on_market) while the grid shows only those with a photo (live), so the count is not a promise of how many cards appear.
