About the 3202
The Nord Aviation 3202 is a French military trainer aircraft built as a type-certificated, single-engine, low-wing monoplane. Featuring an enclosed tandem cockpit for a pupil and instructor, along with a fixed tailwheel undercarriage, this aircraft suits basic flight training roles for military operators looking to replace older biplane trainers.
Developed by Nord Aviation to satisfy a requirement set by the French Army, the type made its initial flight in the late 1950s. A total of slightly over one hundred examples were constructed, utilizing a cantilever wing design paired with a nose-mounted inline piston engine to serve military instructional needs.
