About the P2002 Sierra de Luxe

The Tecnam P2002 SIERRA DE LUXE is an Italian fixed-wing, light aircraft featuring a low-wing layout, a bubble canopy, and seating for two occupants. It is powered by a single piston engine and serves well as a trainer for student pilots.

Following its initial creation, the aircraft was built to comply with European very light aircraft rules and American light sport aircraft regulations. It became a major part of the manufacturer's lineup, taking up a large portion of total production capability during certain years. Over time, the model received updates such as the improved Sierra MK II, which later gained ultralight certification from German authorities, allowing it to be fitted with increased fuel capacity, new avionics, and a ballistic recovery parachute.

The P2002 Sierra de Luxe is a variant of the Tecnam P2002 Sierra. Other variants: P2002-EA Sierra, P2002-RG Sierra.
