About the P-Mentor

The Tecnam P-Mentor is an Italian fixed-wing light aircraft built for ab-initio through instrument flight training. It accommodates a pilot and student in a side-by-side enclosed cockpit and is powered by a single four-stroke piston engine turning a variable-pitch propeller.

Unveiled in Europe, the aircraft was designed to comply with official certification standards for light aircraft without requiring a ballistic parachute, though one remains available as an optional extra. Its construction utilizes a metal and composite airframe featuring a cantilever low wing with a laminar flow airfoil, fixed tricycle landing gear, and a glass cockpit layout configured for full IFR operations.
