About the PC-9

The Pilatus PC-9 is a Swiss single-engine, low-wing tandem-seat turboprop aircraft engineered primarily for military training roles. Suited for armed forces and specialized aviation services, it features a robust structural layout equipped with a ventral airbrake and a powerful turboprop engine turning a multi-blade propeller. The cockpit accommodates one or two pilots in a stepped tandem arrangement.

Developed as a more powerful evolution of an earlier trainer, the aircraft received type certification shortly after its maiden flight. Beyond military pilot instruction, variants have been adapted for target-towing duties, close air support training, and use by national military aerobatic display teams. International production runs and local assembly programs have supplied numerous air arms across the globe.
