The Cessna A185F is a type-certificated, fixed-wing light aircraft featuring a high-wing configuration, a tailwheel landing gear layout, and a single engine. It accommodates up to six occupants and suits utility missions, freight hauling, and passenger transport in remote environments.
Developed as a stronger version of an earlier Cessna model, the aircraft first flew as a prototype in nineteen sixty. Production continued for over two decades with thousands of units completed before concluding in the mid-nineteen eighties. The type has frequently been adapted for bush flying on floats, amphibious gear, or skis, and can also be equipped with cargo pods or chemical tanks for aerial spraying.
