About the D95A

The Beech D95A Travel Air is a twin-engine, fixed-wing general aviation aircraft designed to seat six occupants. It is powered by a pair of air-cooled flat-four piston engines and serves as a versatile multi-engine transport for civilian operators.

Developed to bridge the gap between single-engine models and larger twin-engine types, the design incorporates structural elements from various previous company projects, including wings and tail components borrowed from military and civilian stablemates. Originally designated with a different name, the aircraft was renamed due to a conflict with a Soviet bomber reporting moniker. It was initially priced significantly below competing models while offering competitive performance and efficiency.
